Faith Family Night: This is a new program meeting 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings 5-7 pm starting September 14th, so there are lots of opportunities to be involved. Commitments can be for a portion of a year or the enire year.
Current needs for the 2008-2009 school year include:

> Middle School GE - a team of 2
> High School GE - a team of 2
> Adult Class - a team of 2 or more

Sunday School Teachers: We have some great kids that need you! Teaching is a wonderful way to grow spiritually and we have one opening left! Here is our remaining need for the 2008-2009 school year:

Nursery Volunteers Needed: Nursery volunteers are needed during Sunday School (September - May from 9-10 am). We are looking for folks to help fill in with R. Anderson so that there will always be 2 adults in the nursery. This is an important service to our families so the parents of these youngsters can participate in Sunday School. Call R. Anderson to volunteer or for more information.
IHN: We are especially looking for a third couple to help coordinate this program, and need more volunteers to serve as evening and overnight hosts (and hostesses). Our next week to host IHN is November 2-8, 2008. For each host week, we need volunteers to set up AFTER church on the Sunday IHN guests arrive (Nov 2nd) as well as volunteers to take down and arrange rooms BEFORE Sunday School on the day they leave (Nov 9th). Volunteers are also needed for food donations, cooking, and dinner hosts.
Website Maintenance: The Membership and Outreach Council needs your help with data entry for the Faith Church website. Training is available. We'd like to rotate this responsibility, perhaps monthly, among several folks so nobody gets burned out and we have backup during vacation periods or illness. If interested in volunteering your time and talents in this area, please contact B. Lebsock, M&O Council Moderator.
Usher/Greeter Coordinator: Worship Council is looking for an Usher/Greeter Coordinator. If you are interested, please contact J. Wilson.
Ushers and Greeters Needed: Worship Council is seeking volunteers to fill this worship need. If you would be willing to serve in this capacity, please contact any Worship Council member.
Library Assistants: The library needs more volunteers to serve as Library Assistants on Sunday mornings (9:00 - 10:30 am) during the school year (Sept-May). It's easy, and we'd like to have enough volunteers so that nobody needs to serve more than once every two months. Call J. Boggess or M. Stephan if you'd be able to help us out.
Adult CE: We still need volunteers for the Adult CE Committee. The Adult Sunday School class needs someone to plan topics for discussion and to coordinate a teaching schedule. Many people are willing to teach 5-6 week sessions - all we need is someone who can plan the sequence. If you feel called to this ministry, please contact the CE Moderator. We can always use more volunteers to lead the 2008-2009 Adult Sunday School classes. Also, give us your suggestions and ideas for those classes. Faith Church needs to continue to provide interesting studies so that we can grow and learn together. Please consider contributing to the spiritual growth of our adults in this church! Step forward and become part of this ministry!
Children's Church Helper: Children's Church needs help from someone who 1) loves children age 4 through 3rd grade, 2) loves the Lord, and 3) is willing to come with joy to serve the Lord. Our leaders need back-up adults to help with Children's Church when one of them can't be there. The pay is ... not in treasures for this life. But the rewards are great -- it's a fantastic feeling to know you've led a child to Christ. Call if you are able to help with this essential ministry.
Mission Council is seeking individuals interested in using their creativity and energy to develop and carry out another successful Stewardship campaign in 2008. We are not necessarily looking for people with finance or fundrainsing expertse. We are looking for people who would like to help us find and comunicate our joyful response to the grace and riches which our Lord has given us. Please contact C. Gimarc or C. Neve if you would like to help with Stewardship.
Bread of Life: Faith Church has a tradition of extending our welcome to first time visitors by giving them a loaf of home baked bread. We always need more loaves of bread. Put your loaves of fresh-baked bread in the freezer by the kitchen and sign your name so we know who to thank.
Northern Churches Care: has many opportunities and a great need for people to serve as hosts/hostesses, receptionists, pantry angels, and intake specialists. A 4 hour commitment per week will bless you and others! Call Carol at 277-7470, ext 125 to volunteer.
