Mission Trips

The Adult Mission Troupe (anyone can join) are adults who provide ministry through workcamps. We may do more than one project per year. We provide maintenance and upkeep on buildings and grounds for camps or churches located within a day's drive. Our workcamps are not limited to this, as we have also worked at community farms and soup kitchens. Details for each project will appear here and on the Events page.

Latest Adult Mission Trip:  May 7-13, 2006 to Ghost Ranch in Taos, New Mexico.

Genesis Electric also does a summer workcamp. The 2008 trip was June 7-15 to Glacier Camp and Conference Center in Lakside, Montana. Our large project was building a deck. Among the work items receiving our attention were weeding and grounds cleanup. Workcamp details also appear on the Genesis Electric page and the Events page.

Theology Behind Mission Trips

"I have come not to be served, but to serve"...Jesus, Matt. 20:28.

Mission Trips help with projects at Camps (and other facilities) thereby assisting in the Ministry of the Camp so that campers may grow in their relationship with Christ.

Side benefit:  By serving, we also grow.
