Mission projects provide ways of ministering God's love to people in and beyond our church.
Faith Presbyterian Church currently supports several mission projects including: Acacia Dinners Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Trash to Treasure (recycling and garage sale) Mission Trips For more information on these projects please refer to their separate pages via the links above.
An additional ministry is Angel Tree, a ministry of Prison Fellowship. Every November we receive the names of about two dozen children in our community who have parents incarcerated. A small "tree" is placed in the Narthex with 3 "angels" per child identifying things they want for Christmas. Members of the congregation take the angels, purchase and wrap the gifts, and deliver them to the church in time for the Angel Tree Christmas Party, held in mid-December. Our GE teens set up several activities for the children, and Santa Claus comes to deliver the gifts.
Food Pantry: Faith Church shares food donated on Sunday mornings with Northern Churches Care, which assists local people in need. Pantry needs vary and may be highlighted in our Sunday bulletins.
Pueblo Presbytery Mission Fund - The Presbytery of Pueblo celebrated its 125th Anniversary by creating a special Mission Fund on November 5, 2006. In celebration of this anniversary, the presbytery established a goal of raising $125,000 for designated missions locally, nationally and globally. The four designated projects are the "Pueblo Hispanic Mission Initiative," the "New Building for Grace Community Church" in Falcon, the national mission grant for continued hurricane relief along the Gulf Coast, and an international relief and mission team program to Nicaragua. Donations can be given to the campaign as a whole or can be designated to individual programs.
